Why Ankur exists
When Ankur began, "andrology" was barely a word in Indian healthcare. Men’s sexual and reproductive health lived in the shadows — mistreated by quacks, dismissed in general clinics, and endured in silence. Ankur was founded to change that: a dedicated centre where these conditions are treated as what they are — medicine.
What makes us different
- Andrology-first. Most fertility centres treat the male factor as an afterthought. It is our foundation.
- Honesty as policy. Honest conversations about what treatment can and cannot do, and what it will cost, and "you don’t need this procedure" said as often as it’s true.
- Privacy by design. Discreet consultations, confidential records, unhurried doctors.
- Full-circle care. Diagnosis, medicine, microsurgery, IVF/ICSI and counselling integrated across the Ankur network — plus Urja consults at AnkurURJA centres near you.
Vision
To become the world’s foremost fertility and sexual-wellness centre, globally recognised for excellence in reproductive healthcare — a world where every individual has access to personalised, cutting-edge fertility treatment, fostering the joy of building healthy families and fulfilling lives.
Mission
To empower individuals and couples on their path to parenthood through comprehensive fertility and sexual-wellness solutions — delivering compassionate care, harnessing advanced medical technologies, and cultivating a supportive environment that promotes overall reproductive health and wellbeing.
Our essence
- Expertise. Led by Dr. Vasan — a Uro-Andrologist with DNB Urology, an andrology fellowship from Singapore, and 30+ years spent in this speciality alone.
- Compassion. Sensitive concerns treated with discretion, empathy and a patient-first approach — for men and women equally.
- Wholeness. Fertility, sexual health and urological wellbeing addressed as one connected system, not isolated symptoms.
Our facility
Our Rajajinagar centre houses specialist consultation suites, a dedicated andrology laboratory, advanced operation theatres for microsurgery and implant procedures, and a full assisted-reproduction unit — supported by counselling rooms where the other half of healing happens.
